ChillMate 5.0.0: Two substances it could not name, and the day it never mentioned

Benzodiazepines and methamphetamine can now be logged and checked. Until now there was no way to tell ChillMate about either, so GHB with a benzo returned no warning at all. Twenty-five new rated combinations between them. Every combination is now compared with TripSit's published drug combination chart, and each warning says how it compares. That comparison found four ChillMate was rating too low: GHB, GBL and alcohol each with ketamine, and MDMA with 3-MMC, are all at the highest severity now. The risk checker shows when each thing you selected comes up, peaks and finishes, leading with onset, because most overdoses are a second dose taken before the first arrived. Timings are now per route. A cannabis edible takes twenty to sixty minutes, not the under-ten of smoking, and the app had been showing the wrong figures. Forty-nine lines of drug information had been appearing in English whichever language you chose. Every main risk and mixing risk, for every substance, is translated now. Twenty-seven labels used to cut themselves in half at the larger accessibility text sizes, and the half that went was the half that said what the number meant. Calendar days read out properly to VoiceOver, and the week now starts on the day your region starts it. Fixed: the weekly digest told everyone they were on a zero-day streak, the widget said "1 days", the watch's stress setting was connected to nothing, and resting heart rate was read from Apple Health and then ignored. Every timing figure described the part of a night you are awake for. The published after-effects window is in the app now: MDMA is 12 to 48 hours on top of a 3 to 6 hour total, and a swallowed cannabis dose lingers 6 to 12 hours where a smoked one lingers 45 minutes. Cocaine gets no window, because PsychonautWiki publishes none, and the card says so rather than filling the gap. A Lock Screen widget for the running dose, which outlives the Live Activity and keeps saying which half of the curve you are in. A check-in for the way home: say roughly how long you will be, and it sits on your Lock Screen with one button on it. It carries no destination, because that screen is readable by whoever is standing next to you, and it never messages anybody by itself. Panic support can be asked for out loud now, and leads the Shortcuts gallery. There is a settings page that shows the phrases and adds them in one tap. Setup can be skipped from the first screen. Being eighteen and reading what the app does not claim to do are the only two things that cannot wait; everything else can be filled in later, and nothing is locked behind it. At 2am Home leads with the tools for being out rather than a checklist for getting ready. It had been treating everything before four in the morning as "before". The first-launch animation can be tapped away, and is skipped entirely if you have asked your phone for less motion. The summary you hand to a GP now speaks your language rather than English, and reports the combination checks it was already being given and quietly dropping. More things that had been shipping in English whatever you chose: the PrEP reminders, the duration inside the safer-plan reminder, four confirmations during setup, the default text of the message that goes to your trusted contact, the Focus filter in iOS Settings, and six pickers whose translations were sitting in the catalog unused.

ChillMate 4.2.1: Fixes, and one that mattered

Fixed a crash on opening the app after upgrading from 4.2.0, caused by two schema versions sharing a checksum. Choosing a language inside the app no longer drops your region, so dates, numbers and 24-hour time stay right. Translated the last untranslated strings, including every combination-checker warning, in all five languages. Accessibility fixes: high contrast now reaches card surfaces, the one-handed layout toggle does something again, and reduced motion is honoured in more places. Continuous integration runs and passes for the first time.
